MIDI is so cool. You guys are missing out if you're not using it.

I finished the first part of The Imperia quad-logy-thing. Series. That is, The Meeting. I will maybe post it later if I get it in my mind to do so. It's not recorded by any means, but I've synthesized all of it. Hopefully, we will be able to find a time when The Imperia Memorial Orchestra can meet. I will play piano or organ, Jordan will play whichever one he desires, and several of our accomplices will assist us in this. Mandolins and violins. Yessir. "I said mandolins", Sam wrote, eyeing one particular fellow in the crowd reading the post specifically. The song is weirdly happy, which is something I don't generally do. I suppose it is supposed to be upbeat. The Imperia IV: Catastrophe! will be much for tritone-filled and horrifying. We have to portray the death of the entire crew in the midst of a horrible storm and a crash in a foreign land.

Love, divine sparkles, unicorns, and punk loofahs,

The Sam.

Good morrow, dear friends!
I hope this small missive finds you safe and unharméd. If this is not to be the case, our sympathies are with you. My name is Sam. I am an Ocean-Born. This is my first communiqué to you through this "LiveJournal" thing. I feel it my duty to keep you updated with the way things are. And they are good. The reason I have come to you today, indeed, the reason this is titléd so, is my small experiment. An instrumental, driven by the likes of The Decemberists and their music-with-a-story, concerning the tale of The Imperia. This tale, my darlings, concerns our escape from Europe to the small but darling shores of New Hampshire, where we reside. This is to take place in four parts.
The Imperia I: The Meeting
The Imperia II: The Construction
The Imperia III: The Voyage
The Impera IV: Catastrophe!

For those of you who know the story (and it is in our bio, curious fans), the story that these chronicle should be somewhat obvious, and it is probable that we will drag in the Imperia Memorial Orchestra to the recording studio. I begin drafting the score posthaste.

It begins.

Love, crumpets, and all-too-sweet tea,
Sam the Ocean-Born.

P.S. God these mood icons are weird.

This, in case you have yet to read our bio, is the official LiveJournal of The Infamous Ocean-Borns.

It is very late at night as this entry is being typed, and, as such, tonight's entry will be brief. We did not think it a good idea to have a rather prominent lack of entry on our shiny new LJ. So here it is.

Within the coming days weeks months whatever minutes we can spare, this journal will begin to include lots of delightful information, including but not limited to:
  • The story of how the band was formed
  • Where we are in the process of recording our first album
  • The sorts of topics that come up in songs of ours
  • A delicious recipe for oatmeal cookies
...which are far too ponderous and long-winded to type here and now.

In the meantime, do peruse our page on facebook, become a fan if you haven't already, drink tea and read a book, etc.

We thank you for your time and patronage!

Your ever-humble servants,

The Infamous Ocean-Borns.
